Women’s Summit

Bradford and District Women’s Forum Summit Event 2014

Thursday 27th March 2014, 9am – 1 pm

Council Chambers, City Hall, Bradford

Anyone working or volunteering with woman are invited to attend the first Bradford and District Women’s Forum Summit Event. The summit has been organised to provide opportunities for those working with women to become better informed about key areas of work, hear from those delivering services and developing policies affecting women and to network with other organisations. Information sessions will cover the following issues Child Sexual Exploitation (grooming), Female Genital Mutilation, Women’s voice and Influence, and Sexual Harassment.

This exciting Conference themes include:

• UKBA decision-making, and the particular issues facing asylum seeking women

• Regional launch of the National End Detention for Refugee Women campaign led by Women for Refugee Women

• Engaging with CEDAW (UN Convention on the Elimination of all forms of violence against women)

The event is FREE to refugee and asylum seeking service users and community groups. Please note, if you wish to bring children to the event please specify how many, along with the age of each child, when booking).

And £30 to agencies/local authorities, etc. with annual turnovers of more than £10,000.
